TRAVEL ADVISORY: A Total of 17 National Road Sections remain Impassable
A total of 17 national road sections remain impassable due to Tropical Storm Quinta as of 6:00 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that although 16 road sections have been cleared, quick response teams with heavy equipment continue to conduct clearing operations and restoration works to open remaining closed sections soonest.
Deployed teams are currently working on clearing three (3) impassable roads in Cordillera Administrative Region, six (6) in Region 2, three (3) in Region 3, three (3) in Region 4-A and one road section each for Region 4-B, Region 5, and Region 10.
Kennon Road remains closed, as well as Tawang – Ambiong Road K0263+900 – K0263+930, Sitio Lower Riverside, Brgy. Ambiong, La Trinidad, Benguet; and Claveria-Calanasan-Kabugao Road K0643+050-K0643+110, Maragmin Section, Calanasan, Apayao in CAR due to road cut.
In Region 2, the Cabagan-Sta. Maria Overflow Bridge, Cabagan, Sta. Maria in Isabela; Abusag Overflow Bridge K0543+382 along Baybayog-San Jose-Baggao-Abusag-Dalin-Sta. Margarita Road in Cagayan are still closed due to flooding, while the intermittent sections of Cadcadir- Kabugao Road; Jct. Logac Lasam Gagabutan Road (JLLGR) Rizal Section, k0760+700-k0761+500; Manila North Road (MNR) K0590+150, Brgy. San Juan, Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan; K0614+600-k0614+680, Brgy. D. Leano Claveria Section; and San Pedro Overflow Bridge NRJ-Villa Sur- San Pedro – Cabua-an – Ysmael Disimungal Road, K0367+786, Brgy. Villa Sur, Maddela Quirino are also impassable due to mudflow, landslide, and flooding.
In Central Luzon, Nueva Ecija- Aurora Road at K0174+300, Brgy. Vilia, Maria Aurora, Aurora, and at K0166+950, Brgy. Labi, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija are impassable due to landslides while Baliwag-Candaba -Sta. Ana Road, K0068+850 – K0069+250, San Agustin, Candaba, Pampanga is still affected by flood waters.
Three (3) road closures were reported in Region 4-A due to landslide, fallen trees, debris and utility posts, specifically at Batangas Tabangao-Lobo Road K0135+000-K0135+700 in Brgy. Pagkilatan and Brgy. Simlong, Batangas City; intermittent sections of Tagaytay Taal Lake Road in San Jose, Tagaytay City, Cavite; and along Indang-Alfonso via Luksuhin Road, K0058+600, Brgy. Mangas II, Ternate, Cavite.
Affected roads in Region 4-B, Region 5, and Region 10 due to flooding and landslide are the Calapan South Road, K0017+500 to K0017+600, Mindoro Oriental and Putiao-Pilar-Donsol Road K0564+950-K0565+100 in Sorsogon, and the Misamis Oriental -Bukidnon – Agusan Road, Siloo Bridge, Brgy. San Luis, Malitbog, Bukidnon.
