Recognizing Mental Health as an Important Component to One’s Overall Health and Well-being

Recognizing Mental Health as an important component to one’s overall health and well-being and to reduce and eliminate the stigma especially to those who are experiencing mental health problems, the Local Government Unit of Claveria headed by Hon. Lucille Angelus Guillen-Yapo thru the Municipal Health Office conducts its Annual Mental Health Summit with the theme, “Make Mental Health and Well-Being for All a Top Priority” held at the Claveria Central School.
Said summit was attended by clients together with their respective family members/relatives and Barangay Health Workers wherein they received free medicines to treat signs and symptoms associated to mental disorders as well as dialogue/consultation were provided by Dra. Ethel Pagaddu, Chief Resident Doctor of Behavioral Medicine at Cagayan Valley Medical Center.
Discussions on relevant topics re: mental health awareness, signs and symptoms, early prevention and detection of mental health problems, etc.were also facilitated by Mr. Arvin Ian de Vera, Nurse III at CVMC.
Hon. Yapo ascertained the audience and all Claverianos her all-out support in the crafting and implementation of noble endeavors centered on the promotion of health and wellness in the municipality and guaranteed an accessible and reasonable health services for all.
