Fuel Discount for Farmers and Fisherfolk Program (FDFFP)

The Department of Agriculture thru the BFAR with the aim to cushion the impact of the current global economic challenges to the agriculture sector and enable the food production sector to be more productive rolled out the Fuel Discount for Farmers and Fisherfolk Program (FDFFP) at the Claveria Municipal Gymnasium earlier today.
Hon. Lucille Angelus Guillen-Yapo graced the above-mentioned undertaking and extended her thanks to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office 2 for the facilitation of distribution of said fuel grant for chosen beneficiaries.
She even added that the agriculture sector is one among the sectors that is given priority and importance of the Local Government Unit thru her able leadership as this is a key factor in the attainment of economic progress, development and sustainability of our town.
A total of 89 fisherfolk beneficiaries from the Municipality of Claveria, Cagayan, 84 from Sanchez Mira and 47 from Sta. Praxedes-all of them are duly registered banca operators/owners and with updated Municipal License/ Permits received Three Thousand Pesos each as fuel subsidy/assistance.
Beneficiaries were chosen by BFAR thru their Boat Registration System-giving priority to those who were able to apply/renew their municipal licenses on-time/early and who has updated registration of bancas.
