Celebration of the World Tourism Month at the Claveria Municipal Gymnasium

After the flag raising ceremony led by Barangay Centro 2, all barangays were enjoined to attend the aforementioned event. The launching began with the rationale given by Mr. Remar P. Agcaoili, Municipal Tourism Council Chairman and was welcomed by Hon. Erzon Lloyd Cabuntasan, SB Chair Committee on Tourism.

Hon. Lucille Angelus Guillen Yapo, the Local Chief Executive, stated in her inspirational message how important tourism development is when it comes to drawing attention and interest in a certain place and that it all starts within ourselves. As the saying goes “Do good to others and for others and it will come back to you tenfold.”

The guest speaker, Ms. Eloisa Mangulad Mabborang, a culture and the arts advocate and at the same time, an educator, also described Claveria as a promising tourism hub in the region given its rich resources and distinct culture.

It was also during the launching that Mayor Lucille Angelus Guillen Yapo and Vice Mayor Fredelino D. Agpuldo, MPA,CPA gave an overview of the monthly executive and legislative reports respectively.

The event concluded at the LGU Conference Hall where the ribbon cutting for the art exhibit was held.
